![]() Dr. Bejar completed his medical training and Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Ohio and is a former Director of Nephrology at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. In addition, Dr. Bejar is Assistant Medical Director of the Fort Lauderdale Artificial Kidney Center as well as Medical Director of our dialysis facility in Davie. Areas of interest of Dr. Bejar’s include Diabetic Nephrology and kidney disease in autoimmune disorders. He also completed a special Fellowship in renal stone management and been honored with the “Top Doc” award for several years. Dr. Bejar is on the faculty of Nova Southeastern Medical School where he lectures students in Nephrology, and also mentors residents as well. Dr. Bejar is the incoming Chief of Medicine at Imperial Point Medical Center, managing this busy department as the hospital undergoes tremendous expansion. He was previously Chairman of Credentials (for which he was honored for his service in 2008) and Vice Chief of Medicine at IPMC. Dr. Bejar was honored
by the North Broward Hospital District with an
award from Imperial Point Medical Center in May of 2008 to honor him as
outgoing Chairman of Credentialing for the past two years. It also
marked the beginning of his tenure as Chief of Medicine at IPMC. He
continues to lecture extensively, particulary on the topic of
Refractory Hypertension.He is fluent in Spanish, and he and his wife have a daughter. Dr. Bejar won third place in the Southeast Collegiate Karate Championships while a student at the University of Miami and holds a Black Belt in karate. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking and fly-fishing. |
