![]() Dr. Ajuria completed his medical training at Temple University, graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and his Fellowship in Nephrology at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and co-authored two chapters in nephrology and hematology textbooks on “Hemodialysis Membrane Compatibility” and “The Anemia of Chronic Kidney Disease”. Dr. Ajuria’s special areas of interest include: anemia of kidney failure, HIV infection and kidney disease, renal complications of inflammatory bowel disease, and chronic kidney failure. Dr. Ajuria is a native of Miami. He studied classical piano for 14 years including studies at the Eastman School of Music while obtaining an undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester in upstate New York. Dr. Ajuria has given several talks for the community and nursing staff at Holy Cross Hospital on Kidney Diseases as well as teaching fourth year medical students from Nova Southeastern Medical School. Among his numerous awards are consistently being named "Top Doctor" in Nephrology. He enjoys portrait painting in oils, cooking, working in his yard, and spending time with his Airedale at the dog park. |
